Now here is a thinking person’s heist movie! I love the way it keeps you guessing; nothing is as it seems. The suspects are interrogated during flash forwards and you never know just who to believe. Dalton Russell (Clive Owen) is the brains behind the robbery, Detective Keith Frazier (Denzel Washington) is the hostage negotiator trying to outsmart a very smart thief, and Madeleine White (Jodie Foster) is an arrogant bitch with a totally different agenda. Ah, the intrigue! This film is smart (my favorite kind), well acted, and baked just the way I like it, with all the toppings.
